Start with sealed 2RS deep groove ball bearings (62xx-2RS, 63xx-2RS) and H1 food-grade grease: no water ingress, no corrosion. Housed positions use stainless SA200 or coated housings so the seat and fasteners do not rust. Conveyors and packaging suit engineered-plastic units (POM/PP), light and washdown-proof; linear guides (LM/LME) need a cover to keep flour and sugar dust off the raceways.

Typical applications

Typical conditions: A food plant washes down with water and alkali every shift: moisture and detergent pass the seal and ordinary grease is rinsed out within months. Hygiene audits require the lubricant never to touch product, no stagnant pockets in the housing, and a bearing that survives both freezer cold and oven heat.
